COACHING & STRATEGIC ADVISORY

A thinking partner for the decision in front of you.

For CEOs, founders and senior leaders carrying consequential decisions. Work with Jon Cheney’s operating perspective to examine what is happening, clarify direction and consider what needs to change.

IS THIS THE RIGHT FIT?

When the next call
is yours to make.

You may be navigating a raise, a pivot, a difficult leadership conversation, an enterprise sales push or the implications of AI for your business. Or you may need space to test your thinking with someone who has carried the responsibility himself.

Flow State means preparation that supports heightened awareness, clear direction and rapid adaptation. The Class V chaos is still there. The goal is to be better prepared to respond—not to rely on instinct without the training behind it.

A useful fit

  • You want candid discussion, not reassurance by default.
  • You can bring a real decision, tension or business question into the conversation.
  • You are open to examining assumptions and adjusting direction as evidence changes.

This is not a packaged certification, a substitute for legal or financial advice, or a promise of a particular business result.

BUILT, PITCHED & LED

Experience on both
sides of the decision.

Jon has founded and sold multiple companies. He founded Seek and ran it as CEO for about seven years, raised more than $15 million from nearly 100 investment groups, and pitched over 1,000 investors. His experience spans fundraising, enterprise partnerships, growth, exits, failed companies and pivots.

Ocavu, which Jon led, ranked No. 643 on the 2022 Inc. 5000. His company-building experience also includes Utah’s Startup of the Year and Most Innovative Company of the Year recognition, Best in Show at NAB and many first-place pitch competition wins, including Sprocket—with tens of thousands of dollars in prize money.

That background brings specific questions into advisory: what does the evidence support, what will an investor challenge, and what must the team actually execute? Today, building and running GenAIPI keeps Jon close to the practical opportunities and responsibilities of AI.

Bring the conversation to your team

TWO DIFFERENT STARTING POINTS

The leader. The business.

Start with the question you need help with. The right form of support can be discussed from there.

01 / EXECUTIVE COACHING

Focus on you as a leader.

A space to examine your decisions, priorities and leadership challenges with a candid thinking partner.

Questions you might bring

  • What am I missing in this decision?
  • How do I approach a difficult conversation?
  • Where is my attention helping—and where is it getting in the way?

02 / STRATEGIC ADVISORY

Focus on a business question.

A discussion of strategy, fundraising, enterprise go-to-market or AI leadership, with the scope shaped around the business context.

Questions you might bring

  • What evidence should drive a pivot or a push?
  • How does our fundraising narrative reflect the business?
  • Which AI opportunities deserve leadership attention?

THE FIRST CONVERSATION

Context before
commitment.

Bring what is in front of you

Send a short note about your role, what is happening and the question you are trying to resolve. You do not need a polished brief. Avoid sensitive information in the initial form.

Explore the fit

The first conversation is a chance to understand the situation, ask questions and discuss whether Jon’s experience is relevant. It is not a confirmed engagement or a calendar booking.

Agree the scope separately

Possible scope could include one-to-one conversations, support around a specific strategic decision, or a defined advisory project. Objectives, deliverables, meeting cadence, duration, fees and availability would be agreed directly before work begins.

No fixed cadence, proprietary methodology or guaranteed result is implied.

THE NEXT USEFUL STEP

What decision are you carrying?

Tell Jon what is happening and the support you are considering. Start with a conversation about fit and next steps.
